Sawmill in Čáslav

After completion, the structure will be used as a sawmill; one part of the structure will be used for subsequent processing of the saw-wood – it contains a separate logistic area. The structure is a multi-sectional skeleton with a built-in area for the wood-processing machinery. The peripheral jacket of the building is made of pre-fab uninsulated panelling. The sawdust storage is separated by a supporting monolithic wall. The roof structure is formed by wooden glued beams and roof trusses, including horizontal bracing. The various ways of bedding of the roof structure necessitated use of a wide range of load-bearing pillars. The structure measures 82 x 80m.
